I hired into the IT Auditing/attestation division of a big 4 at ripe old age where many managers were several years younger than me. Many of the seniors and associates were ten years younger.&lt;br /&gt;But I gave it my all and flourished quite well and was moving along until these layoffs hit like a bomb. I actually had to consciously keep myself from writing this with the assumption that everyone affected is 24-25. The firms have been hiring more mature professionals and career-changers.
